A leader in developing and mass-producing high-performance specialty materials and fibers, Alkegen is no stranger to the battery world and has an impressive history of developing new technologies at a large scale for more than 75 years. Today, we work across multiple industries – including electric vehicles, energy storage and batteries, automotive and aerospace, industrial insulation, filtration and fire protection – that require rigorous quality standards, certifications, and compliance to global health, safety, and environmental regulations.

With more than 60 manufacturing facilities in 13 countries, Alkegen has established core competencies on technology development and scaled production. Over the last three years, we’ve commercialized nearly 40 new products ranging from heat shields to battery separators.

In 2022, Alkegen completed its first SiFAB production line in Indiana, USA. An additional large production line is targeted for 2025.
